Winterborn

I've had a very interesting weekend. Last night I said goodbye to my German friend, and he introduced me to this great band: The Cruxshadows - Winterborn. We share our liking of it now. On top of this, I had a fabulous conversation with one of my favorite profs (and friends), and he even liked this song. What more can I want from a weekend?

"And in the fury of this darkest hour we will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice and I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith is come that I have never known..."

Sag mir, was das war...

As Prof. Aaron predicted earlier, senior year is a very bizarre year. I just realized that after tomorrow, I'll be done with Media Studies altogether. I'm also kind of amazed (in a positive way!) by how close my interaction is with people in the Department (capital D because it's my favorite Computer Science Department). It's fascinating how intense life becomes during senior year.

Antiques

Apparently some alum wanted to know if we still have yearbooks from 1980, so I had to go check in the Metate room. Of course I've been there before, but I hadn't noticed that they had some pieces of paper with very old-looking handwriting (and fancy ink) from 1912! I repeat, notes from 1912 just lying around (or in a box)... very cool! I need to go clean up that room a little (not that I have to, but I would like to) and spend more time there.
