I just got back from the concert, and it was SO AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL!

I took a picture with Fernando Ribeiro and then after Katatonia were done playing, I went out and talked to them and got them to sign stuff for me. I TALKED TO THEM, can you believe? I told them I grew up with their music, which actually is true, cause 15 is a pretty important age :)

The concert itself was very good! It was kind of annoying to have to listen to three young American bands BEFORE Daylight Dies, Katatonia, and Moonspell, but one (or even two) of them were worth it. I'd never listened to Daylight Dies either, but they're definitely worth exploring!

No need to talk about Katatonia and Moonspell. I'm disappointed Moonspell didn't play anything off Sin/Pecado but that's okay. Fernando is... a magician! Seriously, I think he conjures magic while he sings / performs.
The club was so tiny and it made things even better. Plus it made the close contact with the guys from the bands possible. And I'm so glad because if these guys' art / music is important to me, that it makes sense that I'd want to be around them.

Susi is a wonderful person for coming with me to this concert, and she restores my faith in people's ability to open-mindedly judge things. She actually liked some of these bands, and most of them were hardcore death/black/doom metal!
I don't know who I should thank for this, but I'm really thankful!

The concert inspired SO many thoughts in head. It made me think of who I was once again. It made me think of people who were important to me, and who probably will always be important. It made me think of the times when I was home, walked around the park / woods, drank wine, and talked about philosophy in the snow. Susi is right, maybe I miss this so much because I know I can't go back. But it's also true that, as Darren said, this is still a part of me. I think I should be happy. And the concert definitely made me happy :)
