"Temporary Peace"

Beware! :-P

I almost broke a certain someone's nose last night... He totally didn't expect it. And I didn't either.
We were pillow fighting on the second floor of a cafe that was closing, then he started tickling me and I didn't realize that his face was right above me when I raised my head quite violently... and when I felt how hard I hit him, you have no idea what horrible images passed through my head in an instant, like blood, and him lying on the couch unconscious... Fortunately, there was none of that.
Then we were laughing about it, and he was telling jokes about how the people downstairs would react if they saw us coming downstairs, blood on his face and all that... And those people knew that I was the only other person with him upstairs, and would have realized that I can beat guys... :)
So, next time you decide to tickle me, please beware of my powers that even I am unaware of :)

Peace was lost and happiness was found

This Friday-Saturday-Sunday was the most intense double-day in the last few years of my life, if not my whole life. I've probably beaten my lack of sleep record, but that's not what matters. So many unexpected and wonderful things happened that I still haven't been able to fully comprehend them and put them in the Big Picture of my life appropriately. Moreover, I don't really want to talk about them because I wouldn't at all be able to explain how I felt... and I felt very good. I feel so alive right now, and despite the total fatigue, I am full of energy, which is quite surprising given how little I eat :)
So, Friday I went out with a not very close friend from high school and Pomona, since she was leaving for Brussels. In a way this going out thing was more like an intended date for her and a friend of hers, where I and a male friend of the guy were coming along. In fact, I didn't want to go out since I was lazy, but I'm so happy I did go out.
We went to a cafe / bar and then to a restaurant / pizza place, where Stan (Maria's guy) and Lyubo got pizza, I ate a salad, and Maria ate nothing at all. At some point we noticed it was 12:50 am and no one could believe how late it was. We enjoyed each other's company a lot, so we decided to take a walk... which turned out to be the longest walk ever (in case you know Sofia, which I doubt: Kristal - Slaveikov - Borisovata - Juzhen park - Vitoshka - Slaveikov - Orlov). Lyubo thinks we probably walked for about 15 miles, but I'm not sure. So basically, we walked all night and stayed in some park for a while, where Maria and Stan ditched us kind of, but I don't think we minded that. At some point Lyubo and I got cold, so we went to get some morning coffee and he walked me home (meaning he came all the way to my part of town even though he lives in another part) and I was home at 7:30 am. For the next day we had planned a trip to the mountain, which we did despite how little some of us slept (and I didn't sleep at all).
Going to the mountains was wonderful, and after we took a break at some point and Maria and Stan seemed to want to keep lying down and being lazy, Lyubo and I talked further and reached some pretty high point where we sat on a rock and watched the beauty around us. We expected rain, but it didn't rain, so on the way down, when Maria and Stan were waiting for us in the village which we had as our final destination, Lyubo and I decided to sit on another rock and wait for the rain since we definitely wanted to be rained on :-P But it didn't rain.
After we got back to Sofia at about 7 pm, we all went to get a little rest and shower and then we met up again at 10 pm with the intention to watch a movie, but instead we went to get coffee (cause we really needed it) and then I took them to the Borisova garden where Maria and Stan sat on a bench and Lyubo and I took another one. At the table in the cafe, the two of us were horribly tired and almost didn't talk to each other, while Maria and Stan didn't stop talking. However, later, when we were in the park, at some point they came to our bench declaring they were dead tired and thus going to sleep. We stayed a little longer and then we got a cab... I was home at 2:30 am, knowing that I'd have to be in the gym at 11 today, and I had to get some sleep finally.
Lyubo and Stan are wonderful guys (both kind of CS-y... especially Lyubo), and the four of us had so much to talk about. I felt so comfortable... I probably haven't felt better in a while. Lyubo and I have a lot of things in common. We even walked into a fountain downtown... true, it was late so probably no one saw us, but it's still crazy and I'm glad we did it together... Maria and Stan were quite amused :) I really thank Maria for taking me with her that night. Lyubo (and Stan too) is a real gentleman, and those are rare nowadays.

The other reason I'm so happy and full of energy is working out. My gym instructor, who's totally wonderful as well, makes me do many hard things, and do them many times, but he's very pleased with my performance too. I never knew my body could do so much, and I could recover my pulse in such a short time.

ITALY IS THE NEW WORLD CHAMPION

I have no words to tell you how happy I am. That's all I have to say:

Thank you, God!

I know, France outplayed us during the second half, but we still played very well during the first half. And in previous games.

Too bad this ridiculous situation with Zidane happened.

However: Buffon, Canavaro, Materazzi, Pirlo, Zambrotta, Camoranesi, Gattuso, Perrotta, Toni, Grosso, Totti, Del Piero, Iaquinta... I love you!

My friends called to make sure I didn't get a heart attack :-)

"Believe in the Light in Me"

Hm, where has my life been? Well, it's right here... Not here, since that's the first summer I don't spend too much time online. I guess by "here" I mean that it still exists :)
So, this has been a sane summer so far, and I've been focusing on myself. I just met with a gym instructor who's supposedly going to help me lose the 15ish pounds I think I still need to lose. For the record, I've lost a little over 17 already. But the sad part is I reached some point when I wasn't losing anymore, so something new had to be introduced. I sort of like what I look like already, but more can be expected of me :)
Also, as you might know I wasn't going out with my group a lot, but I watched the 3rd place game with them last night. They're watching the final together tonight, but I don't think I can handle watching this game with anyone other than my parents who can bear with me when I jump, pray, curse etc. which always happens when my Italians play.
Btw, it must be mentioned that I'm quite impressed with my Italians. It kinda feels good to realize that the team that most people weren't paying attention to and also the one you have been supporting since '98 is slowly moving towards winning the Cup. I feel proud since the Italians played so freaking well in the last few games... totally non-Italian style! :-P
So, I went out with my friends last night, since I think my period of self-isolation which I chose to go through needed to end. We also sort of decided when we'd go to the seaside, and we might even go to my summer house for a weekend too. There was some new guy who insisted he had seen me somewhere before, but we couldn't figure out where. However, he seems interesting (no, not interesting in that sense :)) and we talked a lot about soccer and... how annoying women can be... and things like that :-P
I've also been thinking about life a lot, but my conclusions are only half-baked so I'll tell you about those later.
