You Can Go Home Again

So I'm home again, after an accident that I may have told you about.
I've had three exciting days so far, in which some work was done, my mom's birthday was celebrated, and some beer was drunk with my friends :)
Speaking of my friends, I'm starting to realize that I may be an exception in that I hang out with my high school friends a lot more than other people do. For example, we only saw each other on Tuesday, and now I just got a call from them inviting me to another beer gathering. Keep in mind that tomorrow we're going out again to celebrate my ex future husband's birthday.
I'm writing abstracts, preparing for my Eurotrip, and trying to relax. And it's very nice to be home.

Were You There?

I got back from NYC three hours ago, and I finished watching Anathema's Were You There? DVD... which inspired the following thoughts in my somewhat hungover brain:

I used to love Anathema unconditionally, now things have changed, it seems. Maybe that's proof that I'm actually a grown-up fan now? :) For example, I really don't like how Danny seems to be commandeering, and Vinny to be over-reacting during every song. Jamie, John and Les are so much cooler. They're just modestly doing their part, and I don't think they're experiencing the music in any lesser extent than the two leaders. True, Danny does write most of the music, but so what? In any case, Jamie is so cute with his slow, modest, noble and somehow very simple and sincere head-banging, and so is John on the drums, and Les who plays these awesome tunes on the keyboard. Speaking of drums, I think if I ever became part of a band (not so likely anymore), I'd wanna play the... drums! :) Yes, surprising, isn't it? I don't wanna be one of the "main stars" of the band... something more behind-the-stage would be more suitable.

I can't wait to see pictures and videos from tonight's concert of Type O Negative (and Marilyn Manson) in Sofia... but now, off to work! :)

Oh and, happy 4th of July in case you're American ;)
