Year of Summer

So "Year of Summer" has this very awesome title and is awesomely sad. But I'm only using the beauty of the title now... and I guess, if you modify the main quote from the song to be "This happiness is my own," then that applies too. I'm kind of very happy in some very nice, calm, non-hysterical way... for two reasons at least, but I'll keep those to myself. ASK me and I'll tell you.
I'm really tempted to upload here some pictures that someone who skis a lot sent me. I know he used to draw / paint when he was in high school, but I didn't know he's so good as a photographer, seriously. He even took a picture of the rainbow-- not as you see it from the ground, but as a ring-- I guess because he was at an altitude of 2K meters. It's really pretty.
It was a very cool weekend... a wild one, too. Not very much work got done, but I think I needed to take a break and have some fun. Ask the people in Applebees last night how much fun Susi, Mikey and I had. I also acquired some quite famous pictures from Susi's phone, finally :P Also, I've met some interesting people recently, so that's good too.
Ehhh, back to work :)

I hope this remains true

"Since I left you I found the world so new." So true right now... I hope I don't switch back to melancholy just as punishment for saying it :)

Thus Spoke...

So many of the great songs ever written are about love. About "you" and "me." So heartache can't be that bad, if it can inspire such greatness, don't you agree?
"I've got to believe when I say--only this is the way."

The list of fabulous people that I have been with includes names that still make me shiver. How is it that you don't realize the degree of bliss when you're with these people? Or is it that, once you lose something, it becomes more dear? In any case, this K. person who found 16-year-old Adi so fascinating, I'd really like to go drink wine with him in the woods again and talk about Baudelaire.

However--as far as I remember, I was able to win these people's interest, trust, and desire because I had some content inside my head. And some real strength--how come you're stronger when you're 16 than when you're 21? Anyway, so I got "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" from the library cause I want to reread it. My thoughts hover over deserted lands, and my body tries to sneak into rooms of past coziness and warmth, but there's no fire in the fireplace, and my supreme technique of escaping ennui is no longer available. So why not remember that strength? Too bad I can't walk around in the snow here, in my trenchcoat ;)

Seriously though, song of the past few months--"Heartache Every Moment" by HIM. And who's gonna give me back these months of frustration? No one. So enough. Painu vittuun to my thoughts that go where they shouldn't.
